The painted havelis of Alsisar, the fortresses of Bikaner and Jodhpur, the sacred lake of Pushkar, the Pink City of Jaipur: exceptional accommodation at every stage, before the grand finale at the Taj Mahal.

Delhi - Alsisar

After breakfast, depart for Alsisar, a small town in the Shekhawati region renowned for its richly decorated havelis. Drive through the semi-arid landscapes of Rajasthan. Check in early afternoon to a magnificent 18th-century Rajput palace, now converted into a boutique hotel. Free time for a first exploration of the village. Visit the havelis, true open-air galleries adorned with remarkable frescoes and geometric motifs.

After breakfast, drive to Bikaner, the former capital of a princely state. En route, visit the Deshnok temple, dedicated to the goddess Karni Mata and famous for its thousands of sacred rats. Check in to a magnificent early 20th-century pink sandstone palace, once the Maharani's residence which hosted King George V himself, now converted into a charming heritage hotel. Explore the Rampuria havelis, testament to the prosperity of Rajasthan's great merchant families.

Morning devoted to visiting Junagarh Fort, an impressive red sandstone construction with elegant interiors. Drive to Jodhpur in the afternoon, the famous Blue City. Late afternoon check-in to a 1920s Rajput residence, still inhabited by descendants of the nobleman who built it, converted into a boutique hotel. Stroll through the old town and its bustling bazaars around the Clock Tower.

Morning devoted to visiting the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, a spectacular citadel dominating the Blue City from its high ramparts. Drive to Udaipur in the afternoon through the Aravalli landscapes. Evening check-in to a magnificent palace on the shores of Lake Pichola, built on the former hunting grounds of the Maharana of Mewar, its architecture inspired by the great Rajput palaces. A short stroll along the ghats for a first taste of Udaipur's unique atmosphere.

Full day of guided discovery of Udaipur. Visit the Saheliyon-ki-Bari gardens, laid out in the 18th century for the ladies of the royal court. Explore the Jagdish temple, dedicated to Vishnu, with its tall tower adorned with remarkable bas-reliefs. Visit the majestic City Palace offering a stunning view over Lake Pichola. Late afternoon boat ride on the lake, with an enchanting view of the sunset and the famous Lake Palace, a sumptuous floating palace turned luxury hotel.

Udaipur - Pushkar

Drive to Pushkar, one of Rajasthan's most sacred destinations. Late afternoon check-in to a 17th-century palace erected by the Maharaja of Kishangarh on the shores of the sacred lake, now converted into a charming heritage hotel. Discover this unique pilgrimage town with its characteristic bohemian atmosphere. Stroll along the peaceful ghats, the perfect setting to watch the sunset over the lake.

Free morning to explore Pushkar at your own pace: visit the unique temple dedicated to Brahma, take the cable car up to the Savitri temple for a panoramic view over the town and the surrounding desert, or browse the colourful little markets. Drive to Jaipur in the afternoon through the semi-desert landscapes of Rajasthan. Late afternoon check-in to a beautiful Rajput mansion run by a noble family, with hand-painted frescoes and inner courtyards adorned with period objects.

Jaipur - The Pink City

Full day of guided visits in Jaipur. In the morning, visit the City Palace and the iconic Hawa Mahal, famous for its pink sandstone facade adorned with 953 finely carved windows. In the afternoon, explore the Jantar Mantar, a remarkable 18th-century astronomical observatory. Free time in Johri Bazaar for shopping. Option to attend a Bollywood screening.

Jaipur - Abhaneri - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra

Drive to Agra with two major stops along the way. First stop at the village of Abhaneri to see the fascinating Chand Baori, a 9th-century stepwell with more than 3,500 steps, one of the largest and best-preserved in India. Second stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal capital, remarkable for its red sandstone architecture. Continue to Agra and catch a first glimpse of the Taj Mahal from the Mehtab Bagh gardens at sunset. Check in to a hotel at the gates of the Taj Mahal, with a direct view of the monument from certain rooms.

Taj Mahal - Delhi - Departure

Wake at dawn to admire the sunrise over the Taj Mahal, as its white marble is tinged with shades of pink and orange. Guided tour of this masterpiece, one of the seven wonders of the world, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife. After breakfast, drive to Delhi with a visit to Humayun's Tomb and the Qutb Minar, before the transfer to Indira Gandhi International Airport. Namaskaram!
